100 items repaired in Washington County since April

In April, May, June and August, the repair folks put their skills and experience to work helping people at the Beaverton, Forest Grove, Tigard and Tualatin libraries. Attendees brought in 166 items including 54 appliances and lamps, 40 pieces of clothing and other textiles, 14 jewelry items, 10 bikes and 13 electronic items and 4 pieces of furniture. Volunteers were able to repair more than 60% of all the items. Way to go!

Thank you to all the volunteers that put in the time, enthusiasm and knowledge to help keep good items from going to waste and showing folks how they can diagnose, repair and maintain their items. And thanks to the library staff (Anne, Stephen, Jim, Julie, Immer and Ann-Marie) that get everything ready at the libraries for these events.
